Productivity

 Using precut and stripped wire wrap wire speeds up the prototype wiring process by 300 %.   Use different wire colors for specific functions - like red for power and black for ground, to speed up the checkout and debug process.   Using a different color, like violet for changes and rework, helps in documenting and debug of the original prototype.   Save hours of breadboarding, debugging, rework and documentation time doing your next prototype by using our wire supplies.

PCB Rework / Design Changes

  Even when you have built up and debugged a wire wrap prototype for a simple design, there always seems to be a trace or two on the finished PCB that has to be cut, added or rerouted.   A trace or two if you're real lucky.   This rework/design change application is another common use that our 30 gauge wire is put to.   Most of our customers purchase spools of green wire, which is less noticeable against a green PCB surface, but we also sell a lot of black spool wire for this purpose.   Use the GEL type superglue to tack down the added wire runs.   If you have lots of cards that need such rework, using a green or black pre-stripped wire, cut to length, will be the fastest and cheapest way to go.   We have sold one corporation over 18 miles of wire for correcting this sort of track problem.

Specifications

  30 gauge KYNAR jacket that meets UL1423 specification, silver plated oxygen free high conductivity solid copper, RoHS Compliant.   Spools of 1000 feet or precut with a standard stripped length of 1.0 inch on each end, in any of 10 colors.   Available also in 24, 26 and 28 gauge in spools or precut - contact us for price and delivery.

Remember that 1 inch is stripped from each end, so a 2.5 inch wire would offer 0.5 inch of KYNAR insulation.

Drop the decimal point for all sizes and pad a zero in front of all 2 digit lengths.
(a 2.5 inch wire with white KYNAR would be specified as an ANC-2025WH,
10.0 inch green would be ANC-2100GN)
