 The ANC-6090S/D adapters provide the designer with a low cost solution to change RS-232C level transmit and receive level signals into RS-485, or RS-422 differential level noise immune signals for installation and powering from inside a PC chassis. 

ANC-6090S replaces ANC-6091,
ANC-6090D replaces ANC-6092

• Draws power from the PC through 'Y' connector. 
• Clean installation appearance 
• Transmit data at distances up to 4,000 feet (1,219 m).
• 4-wire full duplex or 2-wire half duplex operation.
• Pin connections on RS485/422 side mate directly to many multimedia units (Sony, BTS, Grass Valley, etc.)
• Baud rates to 1 MBaud
• Choice of a Single (ANC-6090S) or Dual (ANC-6090D) channel version.
•  ANC-6090 same adapter for external applications - laptops and portables

Hardware Flexibility
 RS-422/485 - signal levels meet or exceed the Recommended Standards (RS).  The RS-232C side mates directly with a PC's DB-9 serial port connector accessible through a motherboard or addon card 10-pin IDC.  This makes the adapter an ideal solution for connecting external RS-485/422 equipment up to your PC compatible computer where powering and internal mounting of the adapter is desired.  Check the connector type and location on your motherboard and/or internal addon card to verify installation.  Adapter uses 1 unused card slot, or the adapters can be remounted onto the chassis DB-9 punchouts where the RS232C interface connectors are usually mounted.

Software Compatibility
 Because the adapter just converts RS-232C to and from RS-485/422 level signals, no specific software modifications are required to operate the adapter with off-the-shelf applications that use the serial communications port.  The data direction can be changed on the adapter by using the RTS line.

 Shipped ready for installation. Jumpers are pre installed for the most commonly applied  configuration and a comprehensive user's manual is included.
